This family guy character is a homemaker who is also a piano teacher. She has a New England accent as she comes from a family of wealthy socialites. She met Peter when he was employed as a towel boy at the country club. Her father totally dislikes Peter, and does not want to see these characters together. According to various family guy episodes Lois is 5’7” and 130 lbs.
There's no question she's not your typical character, she went through gambling problems in season one, shown drug problems in other family guy episodes, and even married peter griffin. She was created by seth mcfarlane, who came up with the family in 1999, in a series of shorts which aired on the cartoon network. This was aimed at a younger audience, so was much tamer then watching family guy is today. Once fox picked up the show, everything changed for the better.
